On the Steps of Jean Nouvel in Bordeaux and Saint Emilion

If you enjoy modern architecture, art and wine this is a tour for you!

During our journey you will discover the wine-making secrets of some of the world's most famous wines. The colorful Medieval village of Saint-Emilion and its monuments and narrow cobblestone streets will make you travel back in time.

 

I will pick you up with my experienced driver from your hotel or cruise ship.

• We will start the tour with an hour private visit of Chateau La Dominique Grand Cru Classe chateau of Saint Emilion based on architecture and history including the new winery designed by Jean Nouvel. This visit can be combined with a tasting of two of the chateau's wines of exceptional quality and unique character.


• While we walk through the charming narrow streets of the medieval village of Saint Emilion, I will tell you all about its history and anecdotes.

• I will book for lunch a table in the tasty restaurant La Terrasse Rouge with a panoramic terrace (designed by Jean Nouvel) offering a fabulous lookout over the surrounding landscape of vineyards.
You will let me know if you have any food preferences.

• After lunch, back to Bordeaux, we will stop first in a beautiful hotel situated on the outskirt of the city designed entirely by Jean Nouvel where we can have a coffee on its terrace with a view of the city.
After that we will stop by a little complex of buildings designed by Jean Nouvel in 2007 and located next to the river where we can have a short walk.


• Our journey could end with a relaxing glass of wine in the Cite du Vin designed by Anouk Legendre et Nicolas Desmazières.

The rest of the year many wine chateaux are closed at weekends.
